Likes and dislikes - things to consider for WHITEFIELD boat


  • Exposed screws which aren't plugged
  • Poor quality paintwork
  • Wires visible on inside of wardrobes - need false skin if this is unavoidable
  • Tillers and seats at wrong heights
  • Delicate fasteners and catches on internal windows
  • Traditional dinettes
  • Traditional anything !!
  • Floppy Cratch covers
  • Narrow entry and exit points
  • Corridors of all types
  • Open shelves and cupboards to display CD's,
  • Thin wooden doors and caravan furniture
  • Narrow boat windows - if we have to use the usual - prefer double glazed and all radius type ( S-type ? )
  • Things that say "wow"
  • Decking in bow and on stern deck
  • Electric beds, hatches and windows !!
  • Interesting ceilings / walls
  • Walk through rooms
  • Very quiet engines - lots of soundproofing
  • Gadgets
  • Bright / light / airy / modern interiors
  • Wooden floors / Amtico floors
  • Not sure about carpet in lounge, but did like it on Deck of Cards
  • Leather trim as per " Deck of Cards "
  • Glass fronted kitchen units with down lighters
  • Halogen lighting
  • TV's hidden behind doors
  • Deck of Cards fire set up
  • 3D sign writing ( we may specify who we want to do this - by looking round marinas and choosing what we like )
Considerations for Whitefield
  • Decking on bow and stern deck
  • Headlight not attached to Cratch ?
  • Sound system in lounge with speaker on stern
  • Need to see gauges from stern ?
  • Consideration of aircon in lounge and bedroom
  • TV's in lounge and bedroom - concealed ( but not in wardrobe - possible hinge down from roof )
  • Satallite tracking dish ( we don't want to watch satellite tv, but want a high quality picture on a free view box )
  • Consideration of Zinga coating
  • Consideration of lutron system for lighting
  • some sort of alarm / security monitoring
  • All electric boat - auto start - if not diesel cooking
  • Outside tap - stern
  • Outside powerpoints - bow and stern
  • Hydraulic engine set up
  • Bow thrusters bow and stern - High power
  • Electronic throttle - no cables
  • Consideration of Glass bubble at bow to replace cratch cover - if not - deluxe cratch cover
  • Cover for cruiser stern for winter months
  • Pump out, fuel, water on both port and starboard side
  • Walk through bathroom / wetroom - possibly using glass sink and stand from porcelanosa together with multijet shower tower unit - pictures to follow
